Apple iOS 18 beta Version: If you are using an Apple device, there is a good news for you. The second beta version of iOS 18 is coming to developers soon. To be released on 24 June 2024. This new update includes two special features namely iPhone mirroring and improved SharePlay screen sharing. We tell you about them.
iPhone Mirroring is the first feature
With the help you can show your iPhone screen on your Mac computer. This means that not only will you be able to view your iPhone screen on your Mac, you'll also be able to see notifications from your phone and be able to easily transfer files between the two devices.
Another feature
In the improved SharePlay screen sharing feature, you can now capture anything on the other person's screen during a video call. You can also control their screen to help them. Both of these new features were not included in the previous iOS 18 beta version.
This update is also expected to fix some bugs found in the previous beta version. However, this update still does not include the special artificial intelligence (AI) features that were shown at the WWDC event earlier this month. Apple plans to include these AI features in a beta version coming later this year.
How to install this update
If you're a developer, you can install iOS 18 beta version 2 by going to your iPhone's Settings and then clicking General > Software Update. If you're already using beta version 1, you'll get this new update on Monday afternoon.
Unlike previous years, now you can try the beta version of iOS 18 without any payment. However, it is important to back up your data before installing any beta software as it may contain some bugs. Along with iOS 18, Apple may also release new beta versions of iPadOS 18, macOS Sequoia, tvOS 18, visionOS 2 and watchOS 11 on Monday.
The public beta of iOS 18 will arrive in July and the final version will be launched for all users in September. Although these new features will be available in most countries, the Apple Intelligence feature will not be released this year due to regulations in the European Union.
